Megan and Chris’ fall Hutton House wedding is finally on the blog today! These two tied the knot on a beautiful September day in Maple Grove, Minnesota, surrounded by their family and friends. Megan’s stunning sleek dress tied with the dusty blue bridesmaid’s dresses, timeless black tuxes, and white florals made for one elegant affair!
The day started with an emotional first look with Chris and his mom – a new spin on the traditional Father / Bride first look. The first look was then followed by the first looks with Megan’s bridesmaids, father, and of course, Chris! Due to the ongoing travel restrictions, Chris’ grandparents were unable to attend. In honor of his family overseas, Chris wore a pin on the inside of his jacket. Megan and Chris also took a moment before the ceremony started to facetime their relatives that couldn’t be in attendance.
We had a gorgeous fall day in Minnesota – which come few and far between! Megan and Chris were able to say ‘I do’ outside on the lawn, with an aisle lined with florals. Chris and his family are German, so for their wedding vows Megan spoke them in german to Chris! Megan had spent their engagement learning german in preparation to surprise Chris and speak part of them in her newly-learned language. Chris’ reaction was so sweet and heartwarming – there was not a dry eye in sight during the ceremony!
After toasts and beautiful first dance, Megan changed into her reception dress! I love when my brides have a second dress change – nothing was holding Megan back from having a good time. Enjoy their wedding recap filled with some of my favorite images below!
