Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Benson! These two officially tied the knot this past June and their rainy Brackett’s Crossing wedding was nothing short of amazing. The rain may not have been in the original plan, but Rachel and Brett handled the day-of change of plans like champs. By the end of the day, we all agreed that all of the changes that were made to accommodate the weather made the day more intimate and cozy.
Rachel and Brett first met at the school they both worked at. Brett was a band teacher, and Rachel was the choreographer and dance teacher. After a few first moves made by both Brett and Rachel, the rest is history!
Rachel is also a photographer in the wedding industry (check out her beautiful work here) so when I received an email from her asking if I was available to photograph her wedding, I felt incredibly honored! Over the years, Rachel and I have become great friends, and I thank the photography world every day for bringing someone so kind and caring into my life. This industry can feel very lonely, and entrepreneurship is hard. Our schedules are not the “normal” workday hours, so finding someone who doubles as a friend and a coworker truly keeps me going. For over a year we talked and dreamed up her big day. It was so surreal for it to actually be happening. Seeing everything come together was so fun, and to see Rachel and Brett surrounded by their family and friends on one of the best days of their lives was even better.
I couldn’t ask for a better couple, vendor team, and overall day. Also, we finally get to show off Rachel’s bridal portraits we took during her added-on Bridal session earlier last spring. The rain had nothing on us! Enjoy my favorites from their rainy Brackett’s Crossing wedding Below!
