There are few things more special than watching past wedding clients become parents. Years ago, I photographed this couple’s wedding day, and now I had the joy of welcoming them into the studio for their newborn session as they celebrated their growing family. Baby Brooks has officially made his arrival, and he was joined by his proud big sister, Georgia, for this timeless newborn session.

Our session took place in my natural light Minneapolis studio, which is designed with families in mind. To make the experience stress-free, mom enjoyed complimentary hair and makeup before stepping in front of the camera. She also selected a soft floral gown from my client closet, a curated collection of dresses available to every Brooke Elisabeth Photography client. This extra touch ensures families look and feel their best without the hassle of last-minute shopping.

For part of the session, we incorporated my hand-painted blue backdrop, which we loved the variation it added to their final gallery. It was the perfect backdrop for portraits of mom with her newborn son and created a timeless, fine art feel. The rest of the session highlighted their family’s natural connection, with cozy moments snuggled together and plenty of sweet interactions between Brooks and Georgia.

What makes this session even more meaningful is knowing the final artwork will soon be displayed in their home. In just a few short weeks, I will be installing a custom gallery wall featuring their favorite portraits. These framed pieces will not only showcase this season of life beautifully but will also serve as heirlooms for generations to come.
