Last month, I was fortunate enough to travel to Cocoa Beach, Florida to shoot extended family photos for the Wendt family! Rachael is a friend and fellow family photographer who I’ve had the pleasure of working with numerous times over the past few years. When she contacted me asking if I would travel to Cocoa Beach to capture images of her family while they were on vacation, I immediately jumped at the chance!

We shot these beautiful photos on the beach at sunrise, and I adore how they turned out. When shooting on the beach, sunrise is always the best option. The beaches are far less busy at this time and it creates a quiet and calm atmosphere. Sunset time is gorgeous, but there are so many more people and it’s hard to get any images without people in the background!

The Wendts had a lot to celebrate, so we took advantage of their photo session. Rachael and her husband are expecting their second baby and her brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first! We used their session not only for extended family pictures, but also maternity photos and a pregnancy announcement. How special!
