There are so many sweet stages during your baby’s first year, but if I had to choose a favorite age to photograph, six months would be it every single time.
At six months, babies are right in that magical in-between. They’re no longer tiny newborns, but they’re not quite on the move yet either. Their personalities are blooming, their smiles are full and genuine, and those delicious rolls and expressive eyes deserve to be documented exactly as they are right now!
Why Six Months Is Pure Magic
Six-month sessions are some of the most joyful sessions I photograph. Babies at this age are often:
- Sitting independently or with minimal support
- Laughing, smiling, and interacting with their parents
- Showing big personality and curiosity
- Still squishy and snuggly
